Watch Out for Scammers! 👀✋

Updated: Aug 7

Email scams are getting smarter—and they’re targeting everyone. These fake messages often pretend to be from companies like Wix, GoDaddy, PayPal, or even your bank. They look official, but they’re designed to trick you.

I hear it all the time from clients: “Is this email real?” Most of the time… it’s not.

What Scam Emails Usually Say

  • “Your account will be shut down”

  • “Click here to renew your service”

  • “Update your payment information now”

They may use real company logos and professional layouts, but that doesn’t make them legitimate.

Rule #1: Don’t Click Any Links 🛑

If something feels off:

  1. Go directly to the company’s official website

  2. Log in to your account from there

  3. Check for real alerts or notifications

How to Spot a Scam Email 📬

  • Sender’s email address is strange, misspelled, or doesn’t match the company

  • Message feels urgent, rushed, or threatening

  • Awkward grammar or phrasing that just feels “off”

  • Requests for personal info like passwords or credit card numbers

How to Protect Yourself 🔐

✅ Turn on 2-Factor Authentication so even if someone gets your password, they can’t log in without your code or phone

✅ Never share login info over email or text

✅ If you’re unsure, ask—better safe than sorry
